Ban Bush!

I'm going with Laura (my roommate) to San Francisco this afternoon to take part in one of the many counter-inaugural demonstrations and rallies - keep your eyes posted for news on the march! The rally starts at 5 and will take place in front of the SF Civic Center.



I'll add pictures of the action later tonight or tomorrow. In addition to that, I guess I "won't be spending a damn dime" today, much as it will pain me given the tasty selection of SF restaurants.

On second thought, though, this kind of action lacks some meaning . It works to an extent as a symbolic gesture, but we SHOULD be thinking as citizens as we set out to make change this country's policies, not merely as consumers.
