The Race Part 4: Cooling Down

Congratulations! All that training and practice paid off and you completed your marathon. At the end of a race, runners always have to take some time to cool off and think about what they did. To finish this section please complete the following two tasks.

1) Submit your completed Race Log to your teacher as an attachment in an email. Be sure that you have filled in all tables, answered all questions, and included all three graphs.

2) Go to the discussion area in the course and make a post in the "Race the Rapper" thread for your month. For example, if you are completing this in the month of May, post in the "Race the Rapper - May" discussion. Your post should be at least a paragraph in length and discuss your final thoughts about this project. Here are some questions to think about as you prepare you posting. (1) What are your final thoughts about this project? Was it worth-while? (2) What did you learn about slope that you previously did not know. (3) What advice would you give to a student who is just learning about slope? (4) Do you think this give you an accurate representation of what running in a marathon would be like? Why or why not? As always, be sure to follow your guide for proper "netiquitte" and respond to at least one of your classmates.

You are now done with section 3. Take a break and come back later to review and take the quiz in section 4.
