Activities and Tasks

1. Listen to your teacher's short lecture and look at handout.

2. Label the Sun and nine planets on the handout.

3. Use a database program to create a planet database for both the inner and out planets including size, distance from the sun, length of years, and surface area.

4. Prepare a bibliography with the word processing software based on the information on the student worksheets.

5. With your team use the information from the database to prepare a visual display on the solar system.

6. With your team prepare a written report about the class project using the word processing software. The report should include the objective, the process used, and a summary.

7. Use a worksheet to compile information about the planet selected for study.

8. With your group search information on the Internet about the assigned planet and prepare a power point presentation share your information with classmates.
