My collection stands at three guitars:

The first guitar, acquired in 1997, was my Tobias Toby Deluxe 4 electric bass in translucent red.

The second guitar, which I started learning on, is a 1968 Gibson C-0 classical.

The third in my collection is a 2003 Squier Standard Stratocaster in the special edition silverburst finish.

The most recent is a 2004 Guild GAD-50 acoustic guitar.

And for amplification: my indecisive stack, a Carvin Pro Bass 100 and Behringer GM110.

As for my wife, her collection of instruments stands at two:

Her violin, completely overhauled by local luthier Jan van Rooyen.

And her newest endeavor, an Ovation MCS148 mandolin.

Then of course I have two trumpets and she has two flutes from our band days. Thank God we don't try to cram all this stuff into our apartment.
