GINGER LINDBERG - Cybrarian, Search Engine Specialist, Web Content Manager, Educator

My profession has always been in the world of information retrieval and dissemination.

I hold both a Master of Library Science and Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Services with an Early Childhood Studies specialization from the University at Buffalo. Upon graduation I spent eight years in public libraries as a reference librarian concentrating in children's services before switching gears to the corporate sector. Since 2001 I have been working at AOL on their various search products and am currently a senior editor for AOL@SCHOOL - a Web directory and search engine which houses a database of 40,000+ educator-reviewed classroom resources for K-12 students and teachers.  It is my primary responsibility to manage this database by reviewing Web sites for educational value and adding those of quality which will enhance the K-12 learning experience (and training educator editors to do the same).

This year I am pursuing an Education Technology Certificate from the University of Florida's School of Teaching and Learning.  This project was started as part of the required assignments for one of my courses.  If you have any questions or any suggestions on how to improve this site, do not hesitate to contact me at: ginger71@ufl.edu.
