Installing the RAM

Step Six - Install the RAM

Most RAM sticks have grooves in the bottom to let you know how to orient them in their respective slots. Be sure to line up the ridges properly and then firmly press them into place. If it is difficult to install, then you may be holding it wrong. Also, sometimes you simply have to press down harder for it to seat properly in its slot. Be sure to check the motherboard user manual as well in order to find out which slots are best to use for RAM since some slots may be slower than others.
