Downloadbit
We provides two kinds of downloadbit for the ALR experiment. One is the downloadbit for receiver, the other is the downloadbit for the transmitter. After downloadbit is download into FPGA, ethernet cable is connected, and firmware is loaded, the experiment will start.
Hardware project files
Hardware project files contains ISE project, verilog files, user constraint files, chipscope debugging files, implementaion generated files, and simulation related files. Open the ISE project using ISE 8.1 could load the whole project and regenerate bitstreams.
Firmware
The firmware can send ARP packet to test the connection, and control the operation of whole stand-alone ALR NIC.
Demo
The demo demonstrates that we successfully makes the link switch between 100Mbps and 1Gbps every fewl seconds. The PHY chip LED lights change and waveform change observed from logic analyzer prove that it is feasible to switch link rate through ALR MAC handshaking and PHY register configuration.
