Description:
We are looking for potential homes for these two birds. Preferably a home that does not have other birds. Coco has had blood tests and xrays and no diagnosis has been made. It may just be that he has some deformity in his nose that makes breathing more difficult. Coco does do better with some milk thistle in his water and this costs roughly $6 every six weeks to two months and Penny does better if she gets some cherry juice in her water (a bottle that would last you roughly a month costs $6 so while these two do require supplements they are not expensive.
Penny was probably attacked by an animal at some point. She has some difficulty moving (problems with her legs/feet) around but seems to manage pretty well. She is missing feathers on some of her head and face. Her injuries have healed as well as they are going to and the feathers do not grow back. Penny was probably handfed as she does not bite and is quite gentle. She is not fond of being handled but could be very tame with some TLC and patience. Coco is a beautiful male. He is not aggressive but has no desire to interact with people. He will avoid human hands as much as possible and will only bite if grabbed. Part of a group of 20 cockatiels that was surrendered by a breeder.
Penny and Coco will come with their own cage, toys and pellets. Suggested adoption donation: $40. Please see adopting a bird.

Scooby and Penny are available for adoption. These two were well taken care of and are already eating harrisons pellets. Penny is very friendly and loves to be petted. Missing some feathers on one wing from a wing clipping that was done improperly when he was younger. Scooby is also tame but he doesn't like to be touched. He prefers to sit on someone's shoulder and just hang out there. Pictures to come soon.
Suggested Adoption Donation:$100 Penny MUST be adopted with Scooby as they are very bonded. This donation includes both birds together with nice large white cage, stand, toys and food. Please see Adopting a Bird for information regarding adoption procedures, requirements and the adoption application.
