Things to Do
Contrary to popular belief, there is more to college life than drinking, partying, and having sex. There are plenty of other ways that you can have fun, be safe, and have stories to tell your children that you won't be ashamed of. Here are a few examples:
Go to a Gator Game
- Every gator fan should attend at least one home game in the Swamp and get lost in the roar of 90,000 screaming fans. But if football is not for you, the are plenty of other sporting events including Gator Basketball, Gator Volleyball and even gymnastics. It's a great way to spen some of your free time and transportation will never be an issue because it's located right on campus.
See a Movie
- Every friday of the semester you can come to the Reitz Union and catch a movie with Gator Nights. It's absolutely free for students and you can get free popcorn, drinks, and a midnight breakfast.
Play a Game
- Visit the Reitz Union Game Room with a group of friends and play a game of billards, have fun playing a game of bowling, or challenge them to a Dance Dance Revolution Tournament. You can also visit popular places like Skate Station and enjoy skating, go-cart racing, and a rock roll or Splitz Bowling Alley for some bowling, karaoke, and laser tag.
Music
Music is a common thing amongst all cultures, religions, and ethnicities and it may be one of the biggest yet most subtle influences of human action.
As sponges we become like the things we see and hear so a great way to stay strong in your fiath is to listen to music that builds up your faith. This doesn't mean that you should listen to Gregorian Chants and hymns all day because there is a variety of Christian music that fits every genre that you may be interested in.
