2016 marks 25 years since the IKHS was established in 1991 and 75 years since the American Institute for Psychoanalysis was founded by Karen Horney in 1941. This year, we forge connections with J. Allan Hobson’s theory of dreaming consciousness. His theory reinforces Horney’s with neurobiological girders and the realistic models of dreaming and of mind that were absent in her time.
