n About MaxCAL Automation Company –

MaxCAL Automation Company founded in 1999 in India by Siddhartha Mehta, then an undergraduate student at University of Pune. The name of the company “MaxCAL” is because it is intended to do calculations to its maximum extent in order to ease the computational onus of technical community. The company originated through the need to develop software program in order to simplify the Mechanical Engineering Machine Design calculations, but it went further beyond the boundaries of Mechanical Engineering into developing software for Company Administration and Manpower Management. The first software to roll out was “ProDesign”, which is extensive Machine Design software.

Now, after six years from its origin, the company is proud to have ten different software titles and several other program tools under its cap. Out of the product basket.

n Product Basket –

ProDesign: Software for design of machine elements. Includes design of spur, bevel, worm and worm wheel, helical gears, different types of keys, couplings, splined shafts, ball bearings, roller bearings, shaft design with complete stress analysis, vibration analysis, deflection analysis, and torsional vibration analysis with/without damping effect. Also, includes Mass Property Calculation (MPC), MI, MMI, C.G. etc. for every machine element.

ProPlanner: Software for Retrieval Type Process Planning. Includes a search engine for data retrieval from database. Works on stepwise process of part family, drawing number, item number. Also, includes editing function for process plan editing. With OLE the part drawing can also be retrieved and printed.

ProPiping: Software specifically developed for piping design which includes piping size calculations for various standards, pressure drop calculations for unlined/rubber lined pipes, flange calculations, hardware selection, valve size and dimensions selection, external painting and internal rubber lining area calculations and weight calculation.

ProVessel: Software specifically developed for unfired vessel design as per Indian Standards, which includes shell and dished end thickness calculations, shell and dished end weight calculations, as well as vessel internal and external surface area calculations, body flange thickness calculation.

ProKMS: Software specifically developed for Knowledge Management System. It has the security Log-In dialogue box facility, with the user control for changing the password and adding the new users with security authorization. This software requires database management, which also allows the user to attach the files and recover those with OLE.

ProLog: Software specifically developed for Manpower Planning and Management. Included modules for daily man-hours log-in against the jobs, graphical interpretation for man-hours spent against the specific job and daily man-hours trend over the period of time. Also, included the manpower planning and distribution module.

MechCAL: Software for some frequent calculations needed in machine design. Also, includes some high-end statistical calculation tools, trigonometric, logarithmic calculations.

ProTime: Software for Time calculation for different Time Zones. Intended to serve the needs of the people to calculate the live time between different time zones across the world.

ProSearch: A search engine, which is coupled with Googleâ for web, image, group, and news search.

ProData: A utility for data storage and removal, tasks management, contacts management.

ProStrength: This software is designed and developed for University of Florida, Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering and Florida Department of Transportation (FDoT). (Not part of the MaxCAL Automation Company product)
