![]() The topic of my presentation group project
for
HSC 4302 Methods and Materials is Managing Stress in Your Life.
Our
target group is college students; Age 18-24. College aged
students have
unique challenges that contribute to everyday stress. This age group
suffers
from the ever-increasing need for caffeinated drinks, lack of
sufficient amount
of sleep and the development of negative coping habits. When daily
responsibilities are managed by practices such smoking, overeating and
avoidance of problems. Students are notorious for lack of effective
time
management skills when it comes to balancing social and academic
obligations.
Possible solutions to these occurrences are replacing bad coping habits
with
stress management skills such as prioritizing tasks and adaptation. The
replacement of negative stress coping habits is possible through the
implementation of stress management education. The goal of stress
management
education is to reduce the mental and physical effects related to daily
tension
and pressure. Chapter
