Career Plan:
After
receiving my
Bachelors of
Sciences in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida
in May of 2009. I will be attending University of Central Florida
accelerated nursing program from May 2009 until May 2010. Once I
complete the
program I will then have the title as a Registered Nurse.
As
a nurse and health educator my
first step will be to conduct a research within the community toward
the need
for medical assistance. After the research has been concluded, the
planning
process of services to be provided will take effect. The focus point
and the
target group will be those who cannot afford today’s medical assistance.
I
have
a vision to one day build a
recreational facility. This vision will allow me to create a nurturing
and
caring environment that will caters to both the youth and elderly of
the
community or within a fifty mile radius. The services that I will
provide will
include tutoring, intensive reading, math, recreational programs and
health
fairs. This will allow for the promotion of education and medical
assistance.
As quoted by Robert
Kennedy “Few will have the greatness to
bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion
of
events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history
of this
generation.” As stated in the aforementioned plan, the acts that will
follow
will allow for the success of the well-renowned program. This can be
the first
successful act that will be instituted within the community in which I
derived
from.
