This "short"
profile will tell you everything you need to know about me and more that
you shouldn't know!
Name:
We all know it's KATHY of that "dang" dynasty I always love
to talk about (I'm the only one allowed to make those "dang"
puns you guys!), but "some people" decided to call me some other
things...
Nicknames,
Dang Variations, and their Mysterious Origins:
"Pikachu":
Beginning of my sophomore year, I always talked about how cool Pokemon
was and how adorably cute Pikachu can be. My birthday came around
and Liz decided to give me a whole bunch of Pokemon stuff in a Christmas
box, which got a lot of people's attention that day. I got over my
Pokemon obsession at the end of the school year. But still to this
day, when Pokemon is mentioned, all eyes are on me. However, I don't
mind the name. People say I'm cute and small just like Pikachu, so
I'll take it as a compliment. Hehe.
"Kathi":
I made this one up myself back in the old middle school days. I noticed
that Judi spelled her name with an "i" so I thought I should
try that out myself. In eighth grade, I wrote my name with an "i"
on all my schoolwork. All the teachers were cool with it and didn't
say a word, except one teacher. My Yearbook/English teacher must have
been terribly confused because he would always ask me if it was an
"i" or a "y." To make things easier for everybody,
I told him that it was an "i". Hehe. He still writes to
me with a Kathy with an "i." Yippity!
"G-Dawg":
This nickname is truly a mystery. All of a sudden one day on the phone,
my bro called me "G-Dawg." Since he's been calling me that
everyday! I would pester him why he always freaking call me that.
But he doesn't even know why calls me that or where it came from,
but he loves it! What a nerd!
"Dr.
Dang": Partially inspired by my bro, I like this nickname! To
tell you the truth, I stole the idea from him. Hehe. I thought that
I'm the right person for the name because everybody loves coming to
me for advice! He's out there trying to mimic me by giving out advice
too! Watch out you guys! I'm the real Dr. Dang. "Now, will the
real Dr. Dang please stand up?" *I stand up and knock bro down
with a big grin on my face*
"Dang":
All the guys back in high school called me this annoying name. But
the guy that started it all was Scott. He claims that my name is cool
and so on, but I think it's just to irritate me! He's been calling
me this since sophomore year and everybody else caught on! I don't
even remember the last time he called me "Kathy"...
"Me-Dang":
You can tell I just "love" this one. Good 'ol Dennis was
trying to learn some Vietnamese and "fortunately," he learned
"my~ dden" (African-American), or in his words: "me-dang."
I get annoyed when he calls me this, but maybe he's trying to say
that I'm the coolest "my~ ddeng" without actually being
one!
"Dang-Chu":
Another nickname originated from Dennis. He thought it was cool to
combine mine and Bao's last names because it sounded like "thank
you." Well, it sounds like "ah choo" to me. Hehe. But
"dang-chu" for this nickname though.
"Wu
Dang Wang": Jon thinks that I should join up with Jeremy and
his cousin to form the "Wu Dang Wang" clan. Hmmm... Maybe
it's because I like to be called DJ Dang sometimes. Hehe. Well, let's
rep the east side yo!
"Bang
Dang-Wang": Why did Adam have to come up with this? Hehe. One
fateful day in ITGS class, I felt a tap on my shoulders and Adam said,
"Hey check this out Kathy! If you married Jeremy Wang, kept your
last name and named your kid Bang, his name would be Bang Dang-Wang!"
I was hoping to name my kid "Doctor" but I'll keep that
in mind.
"Dang
it!": This ancient expression dates back to the dawn of civilization,
or when I was in the second grade. The boys said this practically
everyday, everytime! I guess they needed a special expression just
for me everytime I aced a test or answered a question correctly. Maybe
I should take "Dang it!" as a compliment also...
"Kitty
Kathy": Ly got annoyed that I kept calling her "Cup,"
so she figured that the best way to get back at me is to call me "Kitty
Kathy." Hehe.
"Cherry":
Que and Franka have nickname involving fruits, so I wanted one too!
Que got to be Kiwi, Franka got to be Mango, and I got to be Cherry!"
"Baby":
Jere calls me this all the time! He just won't stop babying me! Ever!
Birthday:
I can't believe I'm 19 now! I have less than a year to be a teenager!
Once I turn 20, I'm going to be too old to mack on high school boys! Oh
the pain! Hehe. So, once again, PLEASE forget that my birthday is on NOVEMBER
1!
Birthplace:
New Orleans. I haven't been there in years! I miss the "all you can
eat crawfish" fests at people's houses and the bridges that scare
the heck out of me!
Location:
St. Petersburg/Gainesville. Gainesville is great! I have my own place
and have parties practically every weekend! A lot of drinking isn't involved,
but card playing is... Hehe.

I see myself (or want to see myself) in 10 years?: Making mad money
by being a computer engineer for Google! Hopefully, I'll have a PhD and
make super mad money and retire at an early age! Watch out for Dr. Dang
to blow up!
The
Guy I'm Looking For:I
did find someone special, but things didn't turn out the way we wanted
it to be. So, I'm back to being "single" Kathy again. Anyway,
the guy I'm looking for doesn't have to be super special or anything,
but has to be awesome! Hehe.
