2007 Collegiate FFA Officers

President - Andrea Adams is a senior majoring in agriculture education and communication, specializing in education. Andrea is from Bartow, Fla., where she was active in FFA. Andrea is also Vice President of Alpha Tau Alpha, the honorary society for students concentrating in Agriculture Education and Communication.  She loves the University of Florida and couldn't dream of being anywhere else.

Vice President - Melissa Hinton is a junior studying agricultural education and communication with a specialization in education.  She is from Riverview, Fla., where she was active in FFA during high school. After graduation she plans to teach agricultural education or work for the family business, Hinton Farms Produce.  Other than CFFA, Melissa is also active at UF as a CALS Ambassador and member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Tau Alpha and Sigma Phi Lambda.

Ag Council Rep. - Amie Taylor is a junior from Alachua, Fla., double majoring in agricultural education and communication and animal science, with a specialization in beef cattle industry. Amie serves as the 2007 Ag Council Representative for Collegiate FFA and is a CALS Ambassador. Additionally, she is actively involved in the Florida Cattleman's Association, Alachua County Youth Fair and Livestock Show Association, First United Methodist Church of Alachua College Group, and volunteers for the Alachua County School Board.

Ag Council Rep. - Jen Nobles has been going to FFA events ever since she was very young. Her mother was an agriculture teacher for twenty years, and Jen has been an active member since middle school. In addition to being an agricultural education major, she studies animal biology and hopes to go to vet school. Outside of CFFA meeting you could also find her at Golden Key and pre-vet meetings or on UF's Santa Fe Beef Research Unit. 

Secretary - Carrie Howell is a junior agriculture education major with a minor in leadership.  She is from DeLand, Fla., where  she was chapter president and FFA Alumni secretary in her high school FFA chapter. Agriculture education is her passion.  She wants to go into agriculture education to educate young people today about the impact agriculture has on their everyday lives and how they should not take it for granted.  In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends, reading and playing with her puppy, Riley.

Reporter - Amy Keyser is from New Smyrna Beach, Fla., where she was extremely active in FFA. Amy is a past state FFA officer who still loves to be active in FFA. She is a Senior majoring in agriculture education. She loves hanging out with her friends and is absolutely obsessed with Bubble Tea.

Treasurer - Krystal Jean Gunter is from Raiford, Fla. She graduated from Union County High School in 2005. She finished her AA degree from Lake City Community College in May 2006. She is a junior at UF pursuing a degree in food and resource economics. She hopes to one day have a career in marketing for the United States Department of Agriculture. She is also involved in AgEcon and the UF Student Alumni Association. She is a sister of the Sigma Alpha Agricultural Sorority. In her free time she enjoys watching football, playing her guitar and traveling.

Historian - Natalie Harrison is an agricultural education major, planning to graduate with her Bachelor's degree in the Spring of 2008. She is from Trenton, Fla., and a huge supporter of the National FFA Organization. She loves agriculture and animals of every kind. She really enjoy attending the University of Florida and participating in the Collegiate FFA Chapter.
