Plan East Gainesville
As a follow-up to many workshops and meetings, the process and product of this major joint planning effort for this predominantly African-American, low-income community was displayed at the Florida Community Design Center from August - December 2003. In addition to the work developed by the Regional Planning Council, citizens, and the Renaissance Planning Group, a series of preliminary propasals developed by students in the Department of Landscape Architecture, under the direction of Professor Tina Gurucharri, were shown.
