My Dad and Me

My dad has been one of the most influential people in my life in helping me achieve my dreams.  Without him, I do not believe I would have accomplished all I have today.  He has instilled in me the importance of an education and is a remarkable father.  If not for him, I would not have the confidence I do today when facing adversity.  He supports me in all me endeavors and gives me guidance when I need it.  He makes me stronger, makes me wiser, and he gives me all that he is capable of giving.

 

My Mom and Me

My mother is one of my best friends.  Since I was a little girl she has always taken time out of her day to help me with my studies or to listen to my troubles. She is always there for me in times of need.  The needs of others have always come before her own needs. She has inspired me to be all that I can be.  I could not have asked for a better mother. She is a wonderful role model, wonderful women and, and wonderful mother.  I can only hope to be half the woman she is.

 

My Nephew, Jacob and My Niece, Jessica

I have never gained so much enjoyment from being an aunt.  My niece and nephew were raised by my parents while I was attending high school.  It was because of them, I became interested in the field of education.  Helping them with their homework and teaching them was so fulfilling and rewarding.  It helped me to realize what an important service teachers provide to students.  Jacob and Jessica are two very different personalities.  Jacob loves learning.  He could be on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? for children.  As a gifted student, he is able to go above and beyond what is offered in the mainstream classroom. Jessica loves music and art.  She is very personable and is a great leader.  She is very outgoing and loves being outdoors.  Grassy knees are not out of the ordinary for her.

 

A Piece of My Personal Life

When away from school and work, I try to make time to do the things I love.  I enjoy swimming and the outdoors.  One of my main hobbies is photography.  I took four years of photography in high school where I learned to develop my own film and print my own pictures.  I believe a picture says a thousand words.  I am always buying picture frames for the photographs I take.      I love spending time with my family and friends.  Since eating is also one of my favorite things to do, I love to go to restaurants with a group of friends.  I also love going places with my family.  I am very family oriented and try to visit my family whenever possible.
