Professional Accomplishments

Although a full-time student, I have remained employed with my company, 579 Shop with Rainbow Apparel Company, since high school.  During my employment of over four years, I have worked an average of 35-40 hours a week and worked my way up in the company from a sales associate to a co-manager.  My employment with 579 has allowed me to take on great responsibility, become a leader, gain practical job experience in addition to helping pay for the financial costs associated with attending college.

Professional Goals

     Upon completion of my degree, I hope to use the knowledge that I have gained from my education in advancing my career opportunities.  As a sociology major, education minor, and future law student, I have the advantage of choosing from various professions related to my chosen fields of study.  Being that I am still completing my bachelor's degree, I do not have too many short-term professional goals.  My long term professional goal is to gain experience in the field of law as an attorney so that I may later teach law at a university level, thus putting to use my knowledge related to both the field of education and the field of law.

Educational Accomplishments

     As a senior at the University of Florida I have been able to maintain an excellent grade point average and will graduate with honors in the summer of 2003.  Due to hard work and dedication, I have been able to attend college on four various scholarships, awarded at different times, from my freshman to senior year.  I have been on the Dean's list at Central Florida Community College and the University of Florida.  As a law applicant, I was awarded a $12,000 scholarship from a law school located in New York.
     My education has allowed me to serve my community through student volunteering and the Meals on Wheels Program.

Educational Goals

     As a senior my short-term educational goal is to graduate with a bachelor's degree at the University of Florida in 2003 with honors.  My long-term educational goal is to earn a Juris Doctor degree in the area of law.  I also hope to complete my degree within the field of education after completing law school.
