Who makes it: The Musician

Students eating Krishna lunch can't help but hear the music. But they might not know who's behind it.

Srirama is a drummer in the Krishna lunch band. He plays Mirdanga, which is a khol drum, a specific type of drum from India.

He learned to play five years ago, but he's been attending Krishna lunch for six years.

He says his favorite part of the lunch is watching students waiting in line move to the music.

The band plays farther away from the line now, but Srirama said he still sees students eating lunch bobbing their heads in time to the music.

Srirama said on the days the band doesn't play, everyone always asks why they aren't there.

"I always loved it when we had like a good jam going and people around would like jam on beat," he said.
