3 Bedroom Luxury Gainesville Apartments

Lately, a lot of my friends have been asking me about 3 bedroom apartments, particularly luxury apartments, and how to find the best deals on them. Most of them are looking to rent an apartment for a year or so, and they have 2 friends in mind and want to find something that is really nice for a low monthly rental rate. It's easy to find two friends who go to UF who you want to live with, and by splitting the bills (like electric, cable, Ethernet) with two other roommates, each person saves a lot of money. Because they are saving money by splitting the cost with roommates, they can afford to get a nicer apartment than they'd be able to find by living alone or with just one roommie.

There are a couple different apartment complexes near UF that offer luxury amenities and 3 bedroom floorplans. I've been telling everyone to think about what's most important to them-- do they need to have their own bathroom, or can they get by sharing a bathroom? Because it's a lot less expensive to get a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom than it is to get a 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom apartment near campus. Either way, there are a few good options:

Best Deal for 3 Bedroom Gainesville Apartments Near UF:
Camden Court - Luxury Gainesville Apartments:
Camden Court is located 1 block from the UF campus off of 13th Street. These apartments definately offer the best deal, the best location, and the best amenities. There are three different floorplans to choose from, and you can choose to have your own private bathroom or a shared bathroom. There's a gourmet kitchen, an oversized living room. Some of the apartments feature oversized walk-up porches with modern swings. I love these.
* Cheapest rental rate
* 1 block from campus
* VERY luxurious (love the kitchens)

Nicest 3 Bedroom Near UF
Ashton Lane:
nicest gainesville apartmentsAshton Lane was just finished being built, and it's just 2 blocks from campus. I was floored when I saw the kitchens-- granite countertops, real wood cabinetry, porcelain tile. This isn't like other "student apartments" in the area-- this feels like something in New York or Chicago-- very upscale. The three bedroom floorplan is HUGE, and there's an art nook in the living room. I love it.
* Nicest amenities: granite countertops, gourmet kitchen
* 2 block from campus

Overall, I am really impressed by the luxury Gainesville apartments offered by Trimark near UF and the pricing for a 3 bedroom apartment. There are a couple other complexes worth mentioning-- Royale Palms offers the best pricing for people who want their own private bathrooms. And there's a couple new apartment complexes being built now for next year. One is called Sabal Palms and the other is called Stratford Court (it's a new phase of a pre-existing apartment complex). For people looking for luxury condos near UF, these are all really great options.
* Several floorplans (including one with a wrap-around balcony)

Gainesville Empties out for Florida vs Georgia Game

It never fails to surprise me when I see how empty Gainesville gets on the day of a major away game like Florida vs Georgia. For those of you who don't live in Gainesville (aka the Gator Nation epicenter), just picture 30,000 people vacating a city whose population is only 110,000 in order to drive two hours to Jacksonville Florida to attend Florida's largest cocktail party. I'm all for partying at the Landing prior to a gator football game-- but does anyone else ever think that it's strange how many students and faculty and Gainesvillians attend? I do.

This weekend is one of the best weekends of the year to eat out at the major Gainesville cool spots, like Burrito Brothers or Cafe Gardens. Unfortunately, it's still a bad day to try to get a chicken salad at The Swamp, because a lot of the sorority and fraternity kids who couldn't attend the game still overrun the place.

The weather this year was great. Yesterday, I was on campus at the Library West, enjoying a big cup of coffee at the Starbucks and studying for an exam that I have next week. There's never any parking near Library West (this is the fauly of the planners of the University of Florida, since they basically provide no on-campus parking for students who actually want to study, but if you want to park to attend a UF football game, they are very accomodating). But I digress!

I left my apartment at about 8am and headed by RTS over to the library, where I studied for a few hours before getting together with friends to tailgate before the big game. Last year, Georgia rushed the field. Because of this major insult to us Gator fans, we have a very strong sense of rivalry. We are out for the kill; we are out for revenge. This rivalry made this year's game against the Georgia Bulldogs an even bigger event than normal.

We got together at my friend Jessica's apartment at Gainesville Place. I wouldn't want to live there because it's incredibly loud, but we watched the game and ordered in Hungry Howie's pizza. It was a great way to unwind. Their apartments have a really crazy layout, and the place was trashed. I like to go there to visit friends and hang out, but I'm not sure how anyone puts up with the noise and the trash. My friend lives in ne of their 4 bedrooms, and the living room is so tiny that at half time we decided that we had to go to a different apartment complex in Gainesville that's nearby, because there wasn't room for the 10 of us that wanted to all watch together.

As always, we had the radio on tuned to Rock 104 in the background, and one of the guys had Gatorzone open so that we could keep track of the plays and the stats. I loved this photo from the game, which I posted from Gatorzone. That really is a great website!
