Gainesville Apartments - Taking a Day off

Gainesville Apartments - Day Off

Last week, I took a day off to attend the World Series Baseball Game. Ralph and I really enjoy events like these, because they allow us to support our university athletics teams (GOOOOO GATORS!!) and it's nice to unwind. Sometimes its hard to balance school, work, dating and studying. But everybody needs a day off.

I was able to take a day off of work on Wednesday in order to attend the game. Unfortunately we lost; sometimes I think that I am a JINX! Complete details on the game are included in an article in the Gainesville Sun. This wasn't my first UF baseball game, and it won't be my last, even though we lost.

I worked at Trimark on Friday, despite it being the day of the UF Homecoming Parade and Gator Growl. That's how committed I am to the job! Trimark is pretty lucky. ;)

On Friday, we worked on several different projects. Right now, Trimark is considering purchasing a few new houses and apartments that located close to the UF campus. That's basically how things work around here. Often times, other property owners come to Trimark when they need to sell a house or apartment or piece of land in the area. The owners meet to figure out if the land/unit can be rented at a higher price, weigh the risk, etc. I work in the marketing department, but I generally don't find out about the purchases until they have already been completed. As a department, we work on developing a logo, a brochure, a floorplan, put up a rental sign, etc. Trimark is looking at a few different options in the area right now; one of them is right next to one of our current apartment complexes. From what I've seen so far, Trimark is only interested in purchasing Gainesville apartments near UF. All of our stuff is within .5 miles of campus right now, and most of it is within 2 blocks.

Next week should be fun-- we are going to get a lot done. Overall, I'm happy that I took the job working on marketing Gainesville apartments, even though I'm not studying it in school right now.

My New Job

I am in my third year at the University of Florida. Last year I landed an internship with a local leasing company for Gainesville Florida apartments called Trimark Properties. It was an unpaid internship in the fields of marketing and advertising. After completing my required term of two semesters, I was asked to stay and hired as a part-time employee. I have enjoyed my time with the company and have learned a great deal about Gainesville apartments, from their attention to detail and care for their residents. Comparing their properties to those in the Gainesville area, I see why these apartments and houses are in such high demand. They offer luxurious studio apartments to 7 bedroom newly renovated historic houses. The quality of their properties and the friendliness of the staff has made this one of the top leasing companies in the Gainesville area. All Gainesville Florida apartments should learn from their experiences and strategies. They offer studios-4 bedroom apartments, luxury apartments , off-campus luxury dorms (allowing students to get the dorm experience with the benefits of being off campus), and 2-7 bedroom historic houses. The funniest part of all of this is the fact that I lived in one of their off-campus luxury dorms my freshman year at UF. I lived at The Ivy House, an all girls sorority style off campus dorm. I did not get an on campus dorm, and ended up being very happy off campus. I have heard many horror stories about living in the dorms and am very glad I never had to deal with them. I met some of the nicest girls and was walking distance to all of my classes at UF. My experiences with this company both as a resident and as an employee have been very rewarding. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for somewhere to live and wants a more upscale apartment or house than most places offer, or anyone looking for great internship or career opportunities.
