Sign Times

Sign Times; a sculptural installation in University Gallery. Enter the enclosure created from standard colorful metal road signs featuring classic American advertising. Travel, graphic typeface and design emerge. The magnitude and intensity mirror concepts of consumer experiences in many arenas.

Motorcycle Maps

Trace the roads, paths, highways of precious places, significant bends and forks in the road. The drawings in Focus Gallery are poetic and straightforward, capturing the individual character of travel. The time tracks in the lines contain history and magic; a secret route to the senses.

Performances

Also included in the exhibition are a new series of DVD performance pieces. Roche creates characters that are strong, opinionated and intense. There is brilliance in these cultural interpretations combined with honesty that can be unnerving at times.
