Types of DPI

There are a number of DPIs in the market. Early devices such as the Spinhaler or Rotahaler dispense pre-fixed doses of drug from punctured gelatin capsules. Recently, multidose systems such as the turbuhaler have been introduced that overcome the limitation of the earlier devices.
