Aggregate and disaggregate data from my practicum and internship site  looking at data across different groups of students, the degree in which these groups are achieving success in school, and identifying the needs of these specific populations.  For example is the large Hispanic population underrepresented in gifted programming?  What percentages of girls are in upper level math and science programming?

Participate in the Athens Child Watch Tour presented by the Junior League.  This field trip introduce dozens of business, civic, religious and political leaders to the problems facing the youngest residents of Athens-Clarke County.  The tour stops in some of Athens-Clarke's most disadvantaged neighborhoods and visits to programs designed to help children in those neighborhoods and across the community

Goals of a High School Career Development Program

Continue working with the Atlanta Outreach Center which provided community and home-based education and support to families at risk of child abuse and neglect.  This includes various service areas such as, providing parent support through home visitation, leading parent education groups, and facilitating school-based child abuse prevention programs for children.

Continue in-service training as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) which prepares community volunteer appointed by a judge to speak up for the best interests of an abused or neglected child involved in a juvenile court deprivation proceeding.
