Final Fantasy XIII for the Playstation 3. Copyright SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.Technology is constantly changing and growing. With new technology made available, such as high-definition television and newer storage mediums, video gaming will continually evolve along side it. The new Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have as much hard drive memory as a desktop computer and capabilities to match the new wave of technology. Both systems support high-definition televisions. DVDs, CDs, MP3s and videos are playable on them, without a doubt. Not limited to gaming anymore, they have become multimedia consoles. The Playstations 3 and the Xbox 360 have the capability to display beautifully detailed and colorful graphics with their powerful engines. The Wii, although not a computer-like powerhouse, offers motion based interactive gameplay. All three of the new consoles offer some degree of backwards compatability with games from previous consoles. The Wii even offers "old school" Nintendo games for download, keeping the nostalgic gamers happy. Whether it be breath-taking visuals or innovative gameplay, the new consoles have much to offer.
