Its games are formatted in Blu-ray discs and it has a dynamic RSX chip to boost its graphics. At its release the Playstation 3 had less games available than the Xbox 360 did for its release. However, because there was a shortage of shipments, the lines of fans waiting to buy the console made big headlines on the news. They also had a large number of people who bought the console for the sole purpose of reselling it. The average price of the Playstation 3 online is around $2000.00 now, nearly triple its retail price.
