Lindsey Collins teaches Writing Through Media at the University of Florida. She helped Florida Free Culture with their recent event, (Re)Making.

"People look to the Internet to find information and pictures and music to reuse. The Commons have always been beneficial to the advancement of society, and intellectual property is not the same as other property. People make the mistake of thinking that knowledge is diluted by being shared. I tell my students, If it's online, it's fair game. I believe that if it's online it should automatically be considered under a Creative Commons license and be available for use in the advancement of knowledge and creativity."
