Assignment 5

On the second page, discuss the elements of the "image" created by the transformation of one text to the other. That is, what aspects of the transformation highlight the band's or artist's style? We can think about these terms of "image" or "style" as a guiding principle in making creative choices of our own. In considering how a band or artist establishes a style, we can consider what principles might guide our own creative choices.

For a different example of creative style, think about how Weezer's "Buddy Holly" video differs from "I'm Glad." They do a different kind of  transformation and it results in a different kind of image the band is attempting to project. They obviously aren't concerned with sex appeal but are trying to achieve some kind of mockery mixed with playfulness.
