Our Story: Michael and Maureen met while attending Lake Brantley High School. They had various classes together during the four years, including freshman English, physics, AP physics, and AP Calculus. They dated for 6 months during their junior year of high school which included going to homecoming together, going to high school football games, movies and much more. Michael even attempted to see her dance, but she broke her foot 30 seconds into the first dance he saw. They reunited during their freshman year at the University of Florida and have been dating ever since. Their time together has had many memorable experiences, such as two whitewater rafting trips with Maureen’s sorority, sorority formals, and trips to Savannah, Charleston, Jekyll Island, and St. Augustine. They of course shared a love of Gator football games in the Swamp, as well as everything else related to the Florida Gators. They currently can’t wait until next football season (notice it’s not a fall wedding). College also gave Michael the opportunity to finally watch Maureen do what she loves most each semester, dancing in her Danza Dance shows. After nearly four and a half years of dating Michael proposed on the beaches of Jekyll Island GA. And, after the initial shock wore off, Maureen said yes!! Thus far they’ve had a lot of fun planning their dream wedding, along with a few frustrations here and there. The wedding date has been set for February 16th, 2008. They currently can’t wait to get married and see what the rest of life has in store for them.
Michael was born and raised just outside of Orlando in Altamonte Springs. He graduated from Lake Brantley High School in 2002. After high school he attended the University of Florida where he received a bachelors degree in Finance in December of 2005. After college he took a job in Tampa for a year before moving back to the Orlando area to be closer to friends and family. He is currently working for “the mouse” at the happiest place on earth!
Maureen was born in Fresno, California and moved to Orlando at the age of 4. She graduated from Lake Brantley High School in 2002. After high school she attended the University of Florida where she received her bachelors degree in Nursing in May 2007. She passed her nursing boards and currently works at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Downtown Orlando. She is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for sick and premature babies, doing what she has always dreamed of doing!
