There are several different types of products that can be served from the soft-serve machines. The simplest breakdown of the types is yogurt, which can be split into more specific categories, and sorbet.

Sorbet
Sorbet is a non-dairy, non-fat food. It is mostly sugar and water, with some flavoring. It provides an alternative dessert for lactose-intolerant customers. Currently there are four flavors of sorbet that TCBY offers:
  • Mango
  • Strawberry-Kiwi
  • Raspberry
  • Orange
Yogurt
All TCBY soft-serve yogurts are at least 96% fat-free. Unlike sorbet, yogurt products aren't inherently non-fat and are obviously not non-dairy. There are several types of soft-serve yogurt available at TCBY. The most common types are listed below.
  • 96% Fat-free Yogurt
These yogurts are often referred to as the "Special" flavors, and include Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Cheesecake, and Cake Batter.
  • 98% Fat-free Yogurt
Three flavors, Chocolate, Golden Vanilla, and White Chocolate Mousse, are 98% fat-free, making them officially low-fat foods according to the FDA. In addition to being the three most popular flavors, they are also the three flavors that a store is required to carry at all times.
  • Fat-Free Yogurt
TCBY offers a few non-fat yogurts, such as Old Fashioned Vanilla and Non-fat Chocolate. These are sometimes sold as they are shipped to the store, but are often mixed with flavor mixes that the stores can purchase in order to create new flavors that TCBY doesn't specifically offer, such as Pistachio and Pumpkin.
  • No-Sugar-Added, Non-Fat Yogurt
These products are intended to offer less caloric and diabetic-friendly options for customers. They are sweetened with Aspartame and include flavors such as NSA Vanilla, NSA Chocolate, NSA Strawberry, NSA Mountain Blackberry, and NSA White Chocolate Macadamia Nut.
