MIAMI--The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism Office in Miami will be launching its new campaign “El primero, el mejor,” at the Three Kings festival on Jan. 5 at Calle Ocho or S.W. 8 Street, Miami, Fla.
This is the first year the Miami office will be participating in this long-celebrated event in South Florida. It will be partnering with Univision Radio and Chevrolet in the 37th-annual celebration. The event has become one of the top five Hispanic events in the country, with attendance exceeding 500,000.
The Three Kings festival, or El Día de Los Reyes, is a celebration of the three kings’ arrival in Bethlehem. It is usually celebrated on the sixth of January.
The Tourism Office will have booths set up at the festival with information about the island and its amenities, including brochures and coupons. Computers will also be on sight for patrons to sign up for Ministry’s list-serve. Baseball-inspired stress balls will be given out to those who sign-up for the listserv at the festival.
The mission of the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism is to strengthen and promote the image of the Dominican Republic to the U.S. public.
The Ministry of Tourism is the country’s image, considered the most dynamic and solid entity of the government, which is supported by the most important sector of international and national groups and investors.
Strengthening the tourist industry will contribute to the improvement and the expectation of life of the population, guaranteeing more jobs directly or indirectly and incrementing the per-capita income.
