New York Style Cheesecake
If you want a classic and delicious dessert than you cant go wrong with New York Style Cheesecake. This recipe is my absolute favorite, with it you will turn out thick creamy cheesecake that will be great for any occasion and perfect for impressing your new roommates.
Ingredients
- 6 HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, crushed (about 1 cup)
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 5 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 cup of Sour Cream, i prefer BREAKSTONE'S
- 4 eggs
Prep Time: 15-25 Min, Cook Time: 40 Min
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
- Mix graham crumbs, 3 Tbsp. sugar and butter; press onto bottom of two 9 inch rounds and bake 10 min.
- MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, flour and vanilla with mixer until well blended.(I know this may seem werid, but if you dont have a mixer, use your hands to soften the cream cheese. Its how they did it before mixers were invented, and its how i do it now.)
- Add sour cream; mix well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low after each just until blended. Pour over crust.
- 40 min. or until center is almost set. Cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours.
