Remember This?
Three Floors of Cool
Please Mr. Bus Driver don’t be late today,
I hope my mom packed P. B. & J.
My sore throat is gone, I’m glad to say.
Get ready MOSI, I’m on my way.

Bouncing, squealing, talking fast,
The day we’ve dreamt of is here at last.
Lunches in the cooler, name tags on,
Chaperones arrive, soon we’ll be gone.

Cruising high above the cars,
Velvet seats and VCRs.
Gosh I wish I had a bus like this,
Our old mini-van I’d never miss.

Sitting beside my best friend Pete,
Swapping Gameboys, kicking the seat.
Girls singing loudly in the last row,
Why they do that I’ll never know.

Tampa Bay, Busch Gardens too,
MOSI is close now, Pete said he knew.
The dinosaur greets us as we pull in,
My heart is thumping, all I can do is grin.

Stickers, instructions, it all seems so slow,
Maps and schedules, come on it’s time to go!
We tear up the steps as our chaperone cries “Wait!”
Our feet are on fire, don’t want to be late.

IMAX, stars, and chemistry,
Hurricanes, butterflies, Pete, and me.
Static electricity pulls up my hair,
Riding a bike high in the air.

Touching, looking, and listening well,
Thinking is easy, I’m under a spell.
Questions and answers, logic’s the rule,
Three floors of wonder, three floors of cool.

Seeing as much as I can in a day,
I’m learning so much but it just feels like play.
Science rocks, it can’t be beat,
Field trips are such an awesome treat!
