The Professional AspectAbout MeQualificationsVolunteered for the Lady Stallions Basketball Camp in Jacksonville, Florida for two weeks each summer in 2002, 2003, and 2004, where I worked with children ages 3-15 on ball handling skills, game situations, and sportsmanship development. Volunteered for the Episcopal Arts Camp of Jacksonville, Florida for three weeks in 2004 with kids from ages 5-16, where I handled registration processes. Here I also helped teach dance, musical theater, drawing, orff percussion, theater, and swimming to the children in conjunction with known professors, musicians, and choreographers of the area. Employment7/2005-8/2005Counselor, Providence Volleyball Camp Duties included managing attendance of campers and payments, teaching defensive skills on the court, working with campers individually on techniques and serving, and speaking to the group of campers daily on objectives and motivation. 6/2005-8/2005Cashier, PETsMART Duties included managing a personal drawer, replenishing stock, customer service, blocking, cat care and the adoption section, directing all phone calls, and returns. 5/2006-8/2006Summer Camp Teacher, Florida Museum of Natural Science and History Research was conducted on various nature, geography, and science topics. These topics were then taught to third and fourth grade students over several week-long camps. Duties including teaching as well as lesson plans and supply lists. 6/2006-1/2007Reading Tutor I worked with two different Korean families in an effort to improve their English speaking ability. |
