Island Adventures!
Ischia is an island off of Naples, Italy. We took an hour long ferry ride over to the island. This part of the trip was like a vacation within a vacation. We stayed on Ischia for 3 days and did nothing but relax. It was an amazing time.
The first day we stayed around our little hotel and just tanned on top of the roof. The family that owned the hotel served us food and wine. The next day, we were off to Poseidon's Gardens which was a health spa with many different pools, a beach and of course massages! The waters of Poseidon Gardens are supposed to havae special healing powers. I didnt have anything that needed healing but I can tell you that day was one of the most relaxing days of my life, except for the part when me and Jane swam out to a rock that looked like it was close to land but really it took us about a half hour just to swim to.
The third day we got adventurous and rented a couple little motorboats. We packed some food and of course vino. The boat went no more than 15 mph, so it took us a while to get places, but we road around part of the island and stopped to swim in the coves. We swam up to shore at one point where I sliced my feet on the rocks, not the smartest move of my life but thats what happens when youve been on a boat all day with wine. The waves started getting pretty big late afternoon, so we had to go back. We had a great time and made it back alive.
