Hollie S. Walker
This is my first HTML website. I was born and raised in Buxton, Maine and lived there
the first 18 years of my life. I graduated high school in 2001 as a junior and went
on to the University of Maine. My mom became very ill and was diagnosed with two rare
auto immune diseases. She moved to Florida in October of 2001. After my first
semester at UMaine, I quickly moved to Ocala, FL to be with my mother.
I attended Central Florida Community College where I got an Associate's degree in
Journalism/Communications, and now I am working on my Bachelor's for public relations
at University of Florida. My favorite sport, as you may have guessed, is ice hockey!
I can't believe as big as UF is, they dont have a hockey rink! That's just
rediculous! In my world there are two sports, ice hockey and baseball!
In the future, I plan on moving back to Maine as soon as possible. Florida is nice,
but too hot for a Maine girl like me! I love the snow. I dont understand how a person
could grow up without it. The winter's are beautiful, or as any real Floridian would
tell me, it's like living in a freezer! Ice Hockey is spectacular! When I go to a
Florida football game, I sit there and sweat, something not so appealing. When I get
to go to my beloved hockey games, I sit in there with a little scarf, mittens and a
cup of hot cocoa, and I am very comfortable, it's great.
I have two older syblings, my brother Doug is 22 and my sister Stacey is 25. I also
have a loving boyfriend Tim who is wonderful! I cant forget my cat, Puppy. Yes, my
cat's name is Puppy! She is living with my sister right now while I am in Florida.
She's my princess. Even though many people think she's a "not-so-nice" kitty, she's
the best!
The bottom picture is me and some of the "Maine~iacs." We are supposedly the loudest
crowd in hockey history!! Can't beat that with a stick!
