Biomass Energy

Biomass Energy is the final source of renewable energy which I will mention. It is a little different from the other sources in that it the time it takes to renew is a little bit more. Unlike the rays from the sun, wind, or currents in the ocean biomass energy is not unlimited. The plant life which is the primary fuel for biomass energy takes time to grow and be processed. Biomass energy is only renewable at the rate of the plant growth. For this reason it is kind of viewed as the ugly step child of renewable energy. However it does bring a lot of possibilities. It is the only one of the renewable energies which can provide a liquid fuel which would be easier to use as fuel for the different modes of transportation. The most well-known example right now is E-85 Ethanol which is a liquid fuel for motor vehicles derived from corn. Vehicles that use this fuel emit less CO2 by using fewer fossil fuels. In my view biomass energy will be important in the transition from fossil fuels to clean renewable energies but it would eventually be more beneficial to use completely clean sources of energy.
