In conclusion, the need to transition to Clean Renewable Energies is an essential public policy for the United States to have
in the immediate future and for the next century. The continued use of fossil fuels will exacerbate the problem of global warming
and possibly do irrevocable damage to our planet. Also, we cannot afford to keep letting our foreign policy decisions by
swayed so drastically by the implications they may have on our energy supply as is now the case. We must adopt renewable energy
technology now. The best examples would be solar, wind, wave/tidal, and biomass energies. In order to accomplish this, policy-makers
in the government must take action. They need to invest funds in research to improve the technologies. They also should promote
entrepreneurship in the industry and provide incentives to use renewable energy to businesses and homeowners. This goal will
have to start at the top and it will be vital for President Obama to make this one of his major initiatives.
