History

In the fall of 2015, Professor Estrin asked us to help him pick out music for a clarinet quintet. When we asked who was in the quintet, he told us that it would be the clarinet studio’s five freshmen—us! Affectionately known to one another as the Baethovens, the Wolfgang Quintet has performed during University of Florida Clarinet Ensemble concerts and live on WUFT Classic, and is always on the lookout for new music to play. Through building this ensemble we’ve all become close friends, and couldn’t imagine our time at UF without each other!
Rachel Hidalgo

Rachel is a Music major on the Pre-Physical Therapy track. She is a sister in the Beta Xi chapter of Tau Beta Sigma. Outside of music, she is a worship leader at her church and loves everything to do with the beach. The rest of the quintet loves when Rachel sings, and we end every rehearsal with a sing along!
Haley Larsen

Juicy Haley Larsen is a Music and Advertising double major. She is also a sister in the Beta Xi chapter of Tau Beta Sigma. In addition to clarinet, she has played piano for twelve years. Haley’s main interests and hobbies include corgi butts, barbershop quartets, and Jacob Daniel Armstrong.
Dustin Phan

Dustin is a Psychology major on the Pre-Med track. He is also a music minor, and plays piano in addition to clarinet. Dustin’s motto is “My aspiration in life is to be happy,” and his other aspiration is to be Beyoncé.
