Explore Your Local Gaming Color

A great way to save money on games is to research local retail stores in your area. Local video game stores tend to give you a lot more money when you trade in games and provide a much more personal experience. While local stores may not offer new releases for much cheaper than the retail giants, you can always put the extra cash you get from trading in used or unwanted games toward those titles. Plus, it's a great way to support your community!

In Gainesville, the best place to check out is R.U.Game? Opened by a former flea market vendor, the business has found great sucess with two additional locations in the Tampa area. R.U. Game? has a philosophy that all customers are family, so each individual is treated like part of the gamer family!

While the selection at R.U. Game? is a bit more limited compared to the big names, you won't find their unique offering of old-school titles anywhere else. They also have an awesome VIP program. For a one-time fee of $15, you get 10% off pre-played video games, DVDs and accessories for life plus access to exclusive cardholder only specials. Not too shabby if you ask me! Local stores in general will run way more specials than corporate giants, so it's a good idea to find the closest one near you.
