Case Study #4: The Seizure

In a matter of seconds, I had to remove the gauze, get the student in a proper position, make sure he was safe until the seizure subsided. I also had to deal with the other students in the class, get medical help, and later file a report.

As soon as this was all handled, and the student was taken to a physician, the bell rang, and in came the next class. I was shaking all over but had to go on. All of my college training never prepared me for this. I have taught for years and to this day don't feel that teachers get proper information on health concerns of their students.
