Tau Beta Sigma

We are a National Honorary Sorority for members of the collegiate bands.

We provide exceptional service to collegiate bands and promote equality and diversity, including empowering women in the band profession. We cultivate leadership, educational achievement, music appreciation and community development.

Rachel crossed into the sisterhood of Tau Beta Sigma in the Fall of 2015. She is currently co-historian of the chapter and serves on the Membership Education committee.

Tau Beta Sigma services the college and university bands. Here at the University of Florida, the Beta Xi chapter sets music chairs and stands for everyday rehearsals, paints yard lines on the marching field before Gator Band practice, provides fruit during half time at the football games, and holds receptions for the major concerts by the Concert Bands, Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, and University Orchestra.
