Finally, the third clue enraveling My Chemical Romance’s plan for eternal life stands in the form of the figure I dubbed ‘the performer’. She stands toward the left, and distance exists between herself and the most of the other figures onstage. She takes part in this parade, but her position, relating to where the band stands, shows that she is insignificant. However, there is something different about this figure. Unlike the others in the picture, she turns sideways, facing the band. It seems as though the view, or their presence, occupies her too much to pose like she should. Having a participant in the parade as an audience member gives the impression that the band should be revered, that they are worth watching. Other figures that are revered: gods or immortals. Something as subtle as a sideways figure spreads the message of their supremacy over death.
