No one can cheat death. An ancient concept, its inevitable nature has spawned religions, cults, and other cultural beliefs. Each person forms their own beliefs about death, but most agree it cannot be controlled. People debate constantly over what happens afterward, but few dare to deny nature’s design. The Black Parade’s cover art tells a melancholy tale about death and how people experience it, be it directly or indirectly. A favorite subject to the band, My Chemical Romance fans would expect death to spill out from every aspect of the album, including its cover. However, they might be surprised to find the real message that hides beneath the pictures. This band believes they are superior to death; that those who die are secondary. Is it okay for anyone to believe they harbor such power? Is it okay for anyone to feel invincible? Untouchable?
