COMPUTER PROGRAMMING USING JAVA

This course provides an in-depth treatment of computer programming using JAVA. Problems related to a variety of disciplines are solved. An introduction to the basic concepts of software and hardware is provided. Students will develop a variety of stand-alone applications and applets.

NEWS PAPER EDITING

Fundamental instruction and practice in essentials of news editing, with special emphasis on editing the weekly and daily newspaper. Included are copy-reading, headline writing, makeup, technology and typography.

ADVANCED ONLINE MEDIA PRODUCTION

[MMC 4341] **
This is an advanced Web production course for students in journalism and communications. It covers the use of video, audio, photo essays, and interactive graphics (including geographical maps) online.
