  Northwest Region
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park
My sister, brother-in-law and I have spent the last four years staying in one of the cabins at the Park. The peace, quiet and the incredible beauty of the wildlife preserve and the beaches of the bay and the gulf never fail to inspire and restore my spirit. I am looking forward to my fifth year in March of 2004. By the way, the park crew deserves all the praise they can get for their service to the visitors. The water went out on Easter Sunday and they had it working in three hours. NOW THATS DEDICATION.
Walter G. Doty, Dayton

Northeast Region
Manatee Springs State Park
"We camped at Manatee Spring in early March of 2003 and we really loved it! The sites were clean, Spacious, and private. The nature trails were fun, with plenty of wildlife. The springs were beautiful and we enjoyed the Manatees. Really impressive!"
Janet Shaver, Stony Point

Central Region
Lake Kissimmee State Park
"My four children and I enjoyed our 2-night camping adventure in March. It was unhurried, uncrowded and quiet! We loved spotting all the wildlife, including pileated woodpecker, deer, turkeys, a bobcat, armadillo, and the raccoons really fascinated my kids."
Michelle Brown, Clermont

Southwest Region
Egmont Key State Park
"Our family had so much fun shelling, snorkeling and hiking in and around the island. We rented a boat from a marina a cruised on out to the island. We did a little fishing off the coast. Checked out the ruins in the water via snorkeling. That was really neat. We found huge shells here like we've never seen on other beaches. We hiked through and around the island and saw the old ruins of the base. We saw turtles and other wildlife. Visiting Egmont Key was definitely the highlight of our trip. We can't wait to go back. There are cruises that will take passengers there, but renting the boat for the day was great."
Summer Dorn, Oviedo, Florida

Southeast Region
Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park
"Where the Gulf meets the Atlantic is a perfect place to spend a wonderful day. You can swim, snorkel, enjoy a picnic, read, watch a fabulous seascape or just solar nap. Fort Zach has great facilities and helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff. It is one of our favorite Key West destinations!"
