How to have a good time
There are many fun things to do in New York City. The usual tourist things, like traveling up to the top of the
Empire State Building, are just fine, but that isn't enough for me. For a list of the major tourist attractions and things to see in NYC, you can see a list on my
New York City page. When I travel, I like to go to the places where locals go. Tourist industries may give you a brief overview, showing clients the nice, pretty side of a place, but they don't give you the whole picture.
In New York, I enjoy walking around Manhattan, down the streets, past the steps that remind me of Sesame Street.
I enjoy strolling through
Central Park. I enjoy throwing a Frisbee in the park more.
New York City is known for its night-life. I definitely enjoy night-life. I'll leave it at that.
I do like some of the more tourist-geared things in NYC, too.
One thing I hope to attend this winter, and recomend other visitors see, is a taping of
The Daily Show, one of my favorite television programs.
The Colbert Report,
SNL and
Good Morning America are among other shows you might want to see while in NYC.
I do like taking the opportunity to see a Broadway musical or two when in New York. My favorite musical is Wicked, though I enjoy many others.
