I'm going to Spain! Now what?
Before jumping onto the next plane to Espana, there are some important tasks travelers should complete.
Research and Discover
After deciding on a location, discover your destination. Look up as much information about local interests, dining, culture and arts and accommodations.
The Correct Identifications
When traveling to Spain it is important to carry your passport and U.S. drivers license or state idenfication card at all times. If possible, make a copy bring along, just in case the other gets misplaced or stolen. If renting a car a driving are in the plans, be sure to apply for a international drivers license ahead of time.
Packing the Right Stuff
Spain is a country of many different climates. After the trip is scheduled look up the weather conditions for the region you plan on visiting, at the time you are visiting. It never hurts to pack extra clothes, because as thrifty travelers, you may not want to buy any.
Secure your Home
Locking all doors, windows and treasure chests is most obvious way to protecting your home while you are away. Try plugging a couple night lights into automatic timers so they will turn on about dusk. Criminals are less likely to attack homes that appear to be occupied. Also, if you have a good relationship with neighbors, ask if he or she can watch your home while you are gone."
