Ulmer references family in accordance with memories. Thus my family discourse will revolve around memories and the deeper meanings they hold now. This page serves as an introduction of sorts, starting simply with a family photo-- though its turned into a memory page as well...

I guess we can begin with this image. It was our best family vacation I think, because it was so meaningful. My parents had always wanted to go to Hawaii, but missed out due to work and kids. Looking back, this fact must have played into my bat mitzvah theme selection-- 'Hawaii at the Hilton.' Then 2 years later, we finally made it there! So many celebrations were rolled into that once trip; past and present birthdays, anniversaries, good grades and moving forward in our educations.

Of course a happy trip with the Friedman's is never wihtout drama, like my brother sleeping through the first half of the trip or 15-year-old me feeling silly in paradise with my parents.

Though now I can see our values reflected in this trip or simply its explaination above. My parents worked hard to get where they are and went many years focusing on their careers before children. Now, they always put us first. These 2 facts make me what to work hard and show my appreciation for them in all I do. Also, lifecycle events like birthdays or anniversaries are always important as well as education. Plus, though human nature is never completly satisfied, we always make the best of the situation; something I see myself doing on my own as well. Finally, I think our history always shows or at least past events link to our present adventures always. Click here to learn more
