Radiation Transport Methods
My technical background is based on radiation transport theory and high performance computing algorithms. In my career, I have developed a new parallel 3D radiation transport computer code, named RAPTOR-M3G. The code is designed to solve the linear Boltzmann equation for neutron and gamma radiation in complex 3D geometries.
The code has been applied to several commercial nuclear plants to evaluate and analyze the neutron fluence levels and associated quantities, such as displacement per atom (DPA). For this product, I obtained a patent in April 2009 (Patent No. US20090084974A1).
